Environmental Management Policy
Tasmanian Helicopters' objective is to protect the environment by conducting its operations in a sustainable manner, in accordance with the principles of its policies and procedures, Environmental Management System, operating licenses and environmental legislation and regulations.
Tasmanian Helicopters endeavours to reduce our operational footprint in the areas we operate in and create a sustainable future in the aviation industry by maintaining this policy and committing ourselves to the prevention of environmental pollution.
Tasmanian Helicopters will:
- Commit appropriate resources and personnel;
- Ensure that our flight and ground operations are undertaken with due consideration for our important natural assets and that they are managed in an environmentally safe and sustainable manner;
- Make all reasonable efforts to minimise the environmental impacts associated with our activities by endeavouring to operate in accordance with best practice protocols that will enable us to meet our environmental obligations;
- Comply with relevant legislation, industry standards and internal commitments and other requirements that relate to our environmental aspects;
- Commit to continual improvement in environmental performance;
- Seek to identify efficiency measures and sustainable practices in the planning stage for all company operations.
This policy is the driver for implementing and improving Tasmanian Helicopters Environmental Management System so that it can maintain and improve its environmental performance. It forms the basis upon which objectives and targets are set and reflects the commitment to comply with applicable legal requirements.
This policy can be found on the Tasmanian Helicopters Intranet and is communicated to all persons working for or on our behalf during induction or contract proceedings.
